Part 1

Quick Write 02-25-14

If a pet shop was on fire i would save the kittens first because they are cute. Then the puppies and then the bunnies and cute little furry things that are small and can fit into pockets. I would leave the fish so they would boil because fish are just fish and i don't really care about them. Reptiles would be let free so they could either run or burn. Spiders and creepy crawlers would be kept in there in the fire.

What I know about yearbook so far is that you have deadlines that need to be made and that the pictures need to be linked so that you can see the actual picture from any computer.

For or Against Valentines Day?

Personally I'm all for it. I love the gifts and snacks people bring to give to the people they care about. But one thing about it is that that kind of spoiling or love should be shown every day. Not necessarily buying things for someone every day, but love shouldn't just be shown on a holiday.

Best Magazine Covers of 2013

Favorite

Sports and Adventure
The New York Times Magazine, August 26, 2012: "Deuce"

The magazine cover shows the two athletes together holding hands and their chins up. This shows great confidence and strength in their nature. The two girls stand out with the help of light and background. The lighting in the picture highlights their faces and chest and abdominal area while the background is a plain white back drop and it makes the two models stand out in an elegant, powerful way.

Year in Review: 2013

I feel like this picture has to do with the interest and fascination with the animal. The photographer used the technique background. The solid black background draws more attention to the animal and the exposure is just right. The picture is very sharp and you can see each and every hair.
This picture is pretty comical. The lighting behind the door draws attention to that area rather than the pink/redish walls in front of it. The little boy is wearing a bright orange wig and heels and that also draws attention to him.
This picture is more on the serious side of emotion. I feel like they are trying to represent something that has to do with an important matter. The way all three women are standing so straight, shoulders back and a long neck make me feel like they're trying to be elegant and empowering. The lighting is actually really intriguing. The light source seems to come from in front of them but on a lower level somewhat towards their feet. It casts a shadow behind them and making their shadows seem elongated behind them.

PART 2

1. Best song of 2013: "Get Lucky" Daft Punk ft. Pharrell & Nile Rodgers
2: Best Movie: 12 Years a Slave
3. Top News: New Pope
4. Most Important Person: Jay-Z

PART 3

1. Tell me what is the one thing that happened on your holiday that you will remember? It can be a trip, a family visit, a present, something fun:
On my holiday. received a James Avery necklace that has 5 diamonds going along the side and its shaped as two hearts connected together. It special to me and i will always have on me.
2. What are your resolutions for 2014:
My New Years resolution is to eat healthy and have abs by the end of May 2014, to be a better runner than I was in 2013, to push myself to my limits in sports and train harder, remain as positive as I can be, relax every now and then, make Varsity cross country for the third time and place in races.
