Quick Write 11-18-13
I would create an app that would follow your school schedule and remind you about your homework. It would be helpful to students so kids can stay on top of their projects and home assignments and get better grades. It would cost $2.50 because if students can't remember what they're supposed to remember about school, they should pay for extra assistance.

Great Black & White Photographers (part 3)
I chose the first picture because the barn really stood out. On a patch of grey grass and darker grey hills, the barn is black and stands alone. I chose the second picture because what caught my eye was the blood. Over his face and on his shirt, even the ground. This picture captured something real and horrible.
I see.. peaceful landscape around me.
I smell.. the fresh, clean air that blows through my hair and across my face.
I hear.. the wind whistling through the cracks in the barn's wood.. whistling through the shrubs.
I taste.. wheat bits in-between my teeth as I mow the acres before me.
I feel.. at peace with nature.
I see.. blood running on the ground.
I smell.. something repugnant.. something similar to copper.. a penny.. drying blood.
I hear.. nothing. No breathing. Silence.. except my camera clicks.
I taste..
I feel.. sorry.
Purpose of Photography
AFRICA
1. The pictures blew me away. They were so great and caught moving images so well it looked like they animals posed for the camera.
2. & 3. This is my favorite photo because of how sharp and clear the picture is. They look like they stood there and posed for the camera. The three bigger cheetahs are staring off into the distance looking at the same thing, but the smaller one is crouched under one of the female cheetahs and is staring right at the camera. That's what really catches my eye.
4. The pattern of their spots would be known as repetition. Repetitive black spots all over their bodies make repetition show.
5a. Nick Brandt uses Pentax 67II with only two fixed lenses.
5b. He believes that being close to the animals reveals their personality.
5c. He is interested in showing the animals in their state of Being; to show that they should have an equal right to live; to capture their beautiful spirits before they cease to exist.
5d. "Africa needs to be captured in a state where most people do not see or understand."
MURAL
1. The theme that I would use would be "union" because even though there are so many different clubs and different people doing so many different things, we always seem to come together when something happens.
2. Other students would care about this because people don't see that we are one school and together.
3. Advantages to using a phone camera is you can take it wherever and keep it with you. Disadvantages are that the quality isn't what you want it to be.
4. Some advantages of using an SLR camera would be the better quality pictures that you would be able to take. Disadvantages would be having to take it to a computer, download it THEN edit it. As for a phone you can edit it straight from your phone instead of having to find a computer first.
5. I think we should use our phone cameras simply because we can edit in the palm of our hand and take as many pictures as we want and anywhere we want.
